The International Register of Losses caused by the Russian War against Ukraine (RD4U) announced the launch of two new categories of statements about cases of violent movements or eviction of children and adults. On Wednesday, September 17, it was reported on the official registry website.
According to the site, new categories have received A2.8 and A2.9 assignments. They are designed to adjust individual violations, including the forced movement of people within Ukraine and their eviction to other countries due to Russia’s illegal action.
The category A2.8 focuses on forced movements or evacuation of children within the recognized international territory of Ukraine – “violent movement or eviction of children.” Kaba -relatives or legal carers may submit applications on behalf of minors.
The category A2.9 covers similar cases in adults, who have been victims of forced movements or eviction due to actions that are international Russian Federation- “violent movement or evictory of adults.”
The register emphasizes that the introduction of new categories is an important step in documenting the damage and losses performed by the Russian invasion.
How to submit applications
People who have received serious body injuries, sexual violence, torture, imprisonment or forced labor, as well as internal transfer as a result of the war, can submit applications through the web portal “DIA” – a protected state platform that provides digital access to public services.
All necessary information, including forms of applications, submission policies, often asked questions and practical instructions, are available on the official website of the losses register for Ukraine Ukrainian and English.
Remember that the register created in the Hague for Russian invasion victims has proven the first statements from the Ukrainians for compensation for losses.
