Ukraine’s ambassador to the UK, Vadym Prystaiko, says Britain is preparing to hand over two anti-submarine ships to Ukraine, “two is the starting figure.”

They have more of the same class, and our officers and sailors are now being trained on the ships,” the ambassador and the former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry quote.

Prystaiko said that a delegation from Kyiv visited the ship, which will be handed over to Ukraine in the near future. Our sailors are now being trained on it.

They control the ship and their weapons. There will be several such ships. We need counter-change ships now. Two is the starting number we’re working with right now. These are warships in service with His Majesty’s Navy. They will be redesigned and updated with the special equipment that we need,” he said.

Since February 24, British support for Ukraine has already reached 2.3 billion pounds. London also initiated a large-scale training operation for the Ukrainian military with plans to train at least 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers.

In the coming weeks, London will transfer drones, artillery and radar stations to Ukraine.
