In the area of the cargo port, the temporarily busy nuclear power plant Zaporizhjhya is smoke. Currently, the exact place of the fire and its possible consequences have been established.
This was reported today, on August 12, according to Telegram channels of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
We emphasize that the cargo port is located outside the secure perimeter of the station itself, the department says.
The Ministry of Energy emphasizes that this incident again draws attention to the threats created by the Russian occupation of ZPP – the largest nuclear object of Europe.
The constant placement of Russian military and personnel in the territory of STDs, as well as the constant psychological pressure on the Ukrainian personnel of the station is a gross violation of international law and fundamental principles of nuclear security, the ministry said.
The invaders also confirmed the fire in ZPP. They claim that “dry grass broke near the station, and then the smoke began around the station,” and the situation “calm” at the station itself.
