Kallas emphasized that the EU reigns a clear understanding – bilateral disputes should not be an obstacle to the European integration of Ukraine. At the same time, European institutions are already preparing for possible blocking from Budapest.
“We have a plan B and a plan of V. But our focus is a plan where the essence is to get the support of everything,” he said. “Ukraine should do the homework, and the EU should also do the homework. And we work with the Hungarian government,” Kallas added.
If the compromise is not achieved, the European Union is ready to move to the reserve option.
“If that doesn’t work, we’re working in B. But I won’t reveal it. We’re still in the process,” said the European diplomacy head.
