In recent weeks, Russian troops have adjusted their tactics for a long air strike in Ukraine.
This is indicated in the new report of the American Institute of War (ISW).
- Ukrainian sources reported that Russian troops use the shakhan drones in the dense formation to overload Ukrainian air defense systems. They concentrate a group of 10-15 drones outside the city before hitting it;
- Earlier, Russian troops launched a series of chewers on a series of waves for various purposes every night;
- Efforts aimed at using drones in denser formations indicate that Russian troops believe that this new tactics more effectively overcomes the Ukrainian air defense system.
It is also noted that since the end of March, Russian troops returned to a more typical scheme of the problem of strikes after a temporary surge of their size in mid -February and early March.
In mid -February and early March 2025, Russian troops struck much more, but in recent weeks they struck the trends observed in January and early February 2025, although ISW says fewer missiles.
