Russia has opened 200 criminal cases related to anti -war protests

In Russia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Investigative Committee and the FSB have opened 200 criminal cases related to protests and statements against the war in Ukraine. According to him, most criminal cases – 70 – were initiated under the article on public dissemination of “fake” about the Russian army (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Another 33 cases were initiated under the article on vandalism (Article 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), 17 – under the article on telephone mining (Article 207 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

In total, criminal cases were initiated under article 22 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for speaking out against special operations.
