The Supreme Court confirmed the inability to return the Privatbank state to its former owners, in particular, the oligarch Igor Kolomuska.
It is alleged that on February 26 the court did not provide an appeal for the cassation of Kolomuasky and did not leave a decision of the court of appeal, which closed the proceedings to appeal its nationalization.
Privatbank recalled that the case in the courts of different occasions has been underway since 2017.
Thus, the court defended the interests of the state as an investor who, from the precaution of Privatbank, prevented the collapse of the financial system of Ukraine. The case in the courts of various occasions has continued since 2017, ”the financial institution officially reported.
The decision of the Supreme Court is final and is not subject to appeal.
In 2019, the administrative court of the district Kyiv recognized the decision to nationalize illegal.
In 2023, the Court of Appeal canceled this court decision.
Igor Kolomoski previously owned 41.6% of Privatbank.
After the decision of the cassation in the Supreme Court, Privatbank remains state. The matter was closed, which makes it impossible to return the bank shares to former owners.
In November 2024, the court finally closed the case of the claim Kolomoisky and Trial Investments Ltd. And in November 2023, the trial was closed in the case of Gennadi -Bogolubov.
