The Ukrainian Armed Forces Stratcom confirmed the largest strike against military targets in Russia, which took place on the night of January 14.
We are talking about distances from 200 to 1100 km in the depths of the Russian Federation. Targets in the Bryansk, Saratov, Tula regions and Tatarstan came under attack.
Firstly, the Kristal Oil Products Storage Base in Engels, Saratov Region, was successfully attacked again, where a fire that had lasted 5 days after the preliminary strike had just been extinguished. The fire was successfully resumed by units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Main Intelligence Directorate.
Secondly, the Bryansk chemical plant in the city of Seltso, a strategic facility of the Russian military-industrial complex, was hit. It produces ammunition for cannon artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, aviation, engineering ammunition and components of the X-59 cruise missiles. A secondary detonation was observed on the territory of the plant, which lasted for several hours. In addition, during the attack, two enemy anti-aircraft missile systems, “Thor” and “Buk,” were destroyed.
To carry out this combat mission, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Special Operations Forces, Missile Forces, Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and the Security Service of Ukraine were involved.
Thirdly, units of the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Security Service of Ukraine hit strategic facilities of the Russian military-industrial complex – the Saratov oil refinery and the Kazanorgsintez plant. A fire broke out at both sites.
