At night, drones attacked a rocket engine production plant in the Smolensk region of Russia.
The attack on the city of Safonovo was confirmed by the local governor. According to him, Russian air defense seems to have shot down five UAVs.
Local telegram channels write that the target of the attack could have been the Avangard plant, which is part of one of the largest rocket-building holdings in Russia, the Research and Production Association of Mechanical Engineering.
The company mass-produces transport and launch containers and motor housings for solid fuel missiles, armor and radiation protection elements for armored vehicles, and radio-transparent shelters.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the downing of 16 drones. Of these, three were allegedly destroyed over the Smolensk region.
