Katerina Rozhkova defeated the position of the first deputy chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine. Sergei Nikolaychuk was appointed in this position, the regulator said Friday, August 15.
“Katerina Rozhkova prevented the fulfillment of the powers of the National Bank’s first deputy chairman related to the end of the office term and dismissal,” the report said.
At the same time, Nikolaychuk’s candidacy was appointed by the head of NBU Andrei Pyshny. In a new position, he will be guided by the vertical subordination of financial stability, as well as temporary – financial stability.
The NBU also added that they will now look for a candidate for a vacant deputy chairman’s position.
As you know, Sergey Nikolaychuk has been the deputy chairman of the National Bank since July 2021. And from 2004 to 2019. He went to the Central Bank from the economist to the Director of the Department of Policy Policy and Economic Analysis. After that, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Development of Economics, Trade and Agriculture.
In this regard, Katerina Rozhkova has been working on Ukraine’s banking system since 1998. In 2009, she led the National Bank’s Bezing Banking Banking Supervision department, and from June 2015 to January 2016 – the bank banking department. After that, he became a member of the Board and Deputy Chairman of the NBU, from June 15, 2018 – the first deputy chairman.
