The situation at the front in Ukraine remains complex and tense – the enemy continues to try to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops.
In total, since the beginning of the day, December 31, 117 military clashes have occurred. The largest number of enemy assaults was recorded in the Pokrovsky direction – the Russians carried out 30 attacks there. To date, Ukrainian defenders have repelled 23 attacks, but the fighting continues. In the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders stormed Ukrainian Armed Forces units 22 times, and 13 engagements are still ongoing. This is stated in the construction of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Today, in the Liman direction, the invading army carried out 16 attacks on the positions of the Defense Forces, and five battles are still ongoing. Nine Russian attacks out of 14 were repelled in the Kurakhovsky direction. And in the Toretsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled five attacks. Four more attacks are still ongoing.
Ukrainian defenders stopped five of the nine assaults in the Toretsk direction. Seven times the enemies went on the attack in the Kupyansky and Vremivsky directions. In the Seversky and Orekhovsky directions, the enemy tried to advance three times each, but was repulsed. The Russians carried out one attack in the Kharkov direction.
The operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces continues in the Kursk region, where Ukrainian defenders are repelling four offensive actions of the invader.
Let us remind you that soldiers of the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces occupied a village in the Kursk region. Ukrainian special forces entered the populated area, recaptured it from the Russians and cleared it.
