A special anti-terrorist operation against ISIS was conducted in 57 provinces of Turkey. 536 suspected members of the organization were imprisoned. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on Tuesday, December 31.
“During the operation against the terrorist organization ISIS, which continued for the past 12 days in 57 provinces (from 81 – ed.), 536 suspected members of the organization were detained,” the statement said.
It was noted that among the imprisoned supporters of ISIS there are those who contacted representatives of terrorists in conflict zones, provided financing for the organization or acted in its interests.
