A defender whose 12-year-old brother and grandmother died in the attack on Krivoy Rog has returned from Russian captivity.
The defender’s return was announced on the UNITED24 fundraising platform.
The father of the dismissed defender, Andrei Shaulsky, said that he and his wife were going to meet their son.
He called on the phone and said that he was in Ukraine. They cried, of course, emotions were overwhelming. He said: “Dad, don’t cry.” But these are tears of joy. This is a gift for the New Year. For all three years, we have had this feeling that this is about to happen,” Andrei Shaulsky shared his emotions.
According to him, Nikita has been in Russian captivity since April 19, 2022. The husband added that Nikita knew about the death of his brother and grandmother, but he learned not from his relatives, but from information on the Internet.
We wanted to say it personally. He asked for the phone number of Maxim and grandmother, we said that there was no connection due to power outages, but he read everything on the Internet,” said Andrei Shaulsky.
