Poland is ready to increase electricity supplies to Ukraine if Slovakia refuses.

    .

Bloomberg notes that the Polish government is ready to increase domestic electricity production.

The publication notes that the European Commission is already preparing a roadmap to stop energy imports from Russia; the strategy should be published in February.

All attempts by Slovakia to maintain the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine may be in vain.

Slovak Prime Minister Roberta Fico, after a meeting with Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin, announced the possibility of stopping electricity supplies to Ukraine in response to the cessation of Russian gas transit. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that Fico, on orders from Russia, is opening a “second energy front” against Ukraine.
