In 2025, Latvia will allocate another 20 million euros for the purchase of drones within the coalition.
Latia’s Defense Minister Andris Spruds said that the country has prepared a large batch of drones of various types for transfer to Ukraine. The head of the department announced this on platform X on Sunday, December 29.
“Together with Latvian drone manufacturers, we continue to support Ukraine. The last batch is being prepared, consisting of more than 1,000 combat drones of various types,” the minister said.
Spruds recalled that the drone coalition is led by Latvia and the UK. In 2025, Latvia will allocate another 20 million euros for the purchase of drones within the coalition.
Let’s recall that in June, Britain and Latvia announced the first tender for drones for Ukraine.
Subsequently, it was learned that the country had transferred 2,500 UAVs to Kyiv.
