In this regard, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken emphasized that the sanctions are a reaction to the weakening of democracy, brutal repression and human rights violations in Georgia, which are taking place under the leadership of Ivanishvili.
“The actions of Ivanishvili and Georgian dream undermined democratic institutions, contributed to human rights violations and limited the exercise of fundamental freedoms in Georgia.
