The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has authorized the use of the “Snail” robotic platform by Ukrainian troops.
This system, codified by the Defense Department, is small in size and can be easily transported on a vehicle trailer. The “snail” weighs a little more than half a ton and is capable of carrying several hundred kilograms of cargo or pulling an almost two-ton trailer. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported this on December 27.
It is noted that the platform is sealed against dust, dirt and moisture, which allows it to operate reliably in difficult weather conditions. And the electric motor and all-terrain tires allow the Snail to move very quietly.
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the all-terrain vehicle overcomes various obstacles without problems and can move through off-road conditions, quagmires, sandy embankments, narrow ditches and low vertical obstacles.
Let us remind you that in November the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approved the Ukrainian Oncilla-Shturm armored personnel carrier for use by the troops. This armored vehicle is designed to perform a wide range of combat missions.
