Golden Child and Rocket Punch members leave Woollim Entertainment

The morning of this Friday, the 27th, was marked by the announcement of the departure of members of two groups from Woollim Entertainment: Daeyeol, Y, Seungmin, Jaehyun and Donghyunby Golden Child, and Yeonhee, Yunkyoung, Sohee and Dahyunby Rocket Punch. The company released the announcements through social media.

The first statement was regarding the separation of Golden Child. Woollim Entertainment’s announcement expressed gratitude to all the fans who have always supported the group, and confirmed that the members’ contracts would end on December 31. The agency explained that, after discussions with Lee Daeyeol, Y, Bae Seungmin, Bong Jaehyun and Kim Donghyun regarding the future and direction of the boy group’s activities, both sides reached a consensus to conclude the contracts.

The company also thanked the group for their dedication and work, as well as asking fans to continue to support the members in their future steps. With this announcement, just Lee Jangjun and Hong Joochan remain under contract with Woollim Entertainment, following the departure of Bomin, T.A.G. and Jibeom in August of the same year.

Rocket Punch breakup

Today, the company announced the departure of Yeonhee, Yunkyoung, Sohee and Dahyunfrom the girl group Rocket Punch. Woollim Entertainment reported that the four artists’ exclusive contracts would end on December 31, following discussions about the group’s future and activities. Also expressing gratitude for the years of working together and also to the fans for their continued support.

Since leaving Takahashi Juri In May 2024, Rocket Punch remained a five-piece group, and now Suyun is the only member to remain under Woollim’s contract.
