In Norway, a passenger bus carrying people slid into a lake, killing three people. The accident occurred on the afternoon of Thursday, December 26, NRK reports.
Police said the bus was traveling from the city of Narvik to the Lofoten Islands, but went off the road towards Lake Osvatnet.
The rescue services noticed that the situation was getting a little out of control. The bus carrying 60-70 passengers was partially submerged in water. The weather was very bad there. Rescuers from all over northern Norway are involved in the rescue operation.
All passengers have been evacuated from the overturned and partially submerged bus. Three people died of their injuries, four others are in serious condition.
The bus carried passengers from China, Singapore, India, Malaysia, the Netherlands, South Sudan, Norway and France.
