In the Kyiv region, the court increased the bail to more than 600 thousand hryvnias for a man suspected of raping a 15-year-old girl. The suspect was left in custody. The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this on Thursday, December 26.
Previously, the prosecutor’s office sent to the court an indictment against a 40-year-old man for the rape of a minor (part 1 of article 155, part 3 of article 152, part 1 of article 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the man raped a 15-year-old girl, who put psychological pressure on her. If she refused to have sex, he threatened to distribute a sexual video with her involvement on the Internet.
The man was detained and bail was set with the minimum amount for this category of crimes – UAH 242,240.
At the same time, disagreeing with this decision, the prosecutor filed an appeal with the Kiev Court of Appeal. In the court’s decision, the prosecutor’s complaint was partially satisfied and the bail amount was increased to UAH 605,600. The suspect is currently in custody.
We remind you that in the Kyiv region a man received 15 years in prison for raping an 8-year-old child.
