US President-elect Donald Trump said in his Merry Christmas greetings why it is beneficial for Canada to become a US state. He wrote this on Wednesday, December 25, on the Truth Social network.
“If Canada becomes our 51st state, their taxes will be reduced by more than 60%, their business will immediately double, and they will be protected by a military like no other country in the world,” said Donald Trump.
In his Merry Christmas greetings, he also mentioned Greenland and emphasized that the United States needs this land for national security purposes, and that the people of the island themselves seem to want to become part of the United States.
“Whether the US wants to be there, we’re there,” he said.
Trump went on to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, including the “wonderful Chinese soldiers” who the Republican said lovingly but illegally operate the Panama Canal.
“The Chinese are illegally exploiting the Panama Canal while continuing to ensure that the United States invests billions of dollars in repairs,” Trump said.
Previously, President-elect Donald Trump threatened to demand that the Panama Canal be returned to Washington’s control if transit duties for American ships were not reduced.
