The National Police of Ukraine has tightened security measures during the Christmas and New Year celebrations. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Department of Preventive Activities of the NPU Anatoly Seredinsky, reports Ukrinform.
But despite the large number of police officers performing front-line tasks, the National Police has sufficient resources to ensure law and order. Main attention will be given to the protection of religious buildings during Christmas services.
Seredinsky emphasized that citizens should take care of themselves and observe the air raid, missile warning and curfew signals.
During the New Year holidays, places with large crowds of people will be intensively patrolled, especially, locations with installed New Year trees and roads. Explosive units and other services will work around the clock, ready to respond quickly to any calls.
The NPU representative noted that there is currently no change in the New Year’s Eve curfew schedule. The police will monitor compliance with the rules, in particular, they will check citizens who are on the streets during the curfew.
Separately, Seredinsky recalled the ban on the use of pyrotechnics in Ukraine. The police will respond to violations by applying administrative or criminal sanctions. If fireworks are found, citizens can contact law enforcement to apprehend violators.
We remind you Ukrzaliznytsia launching six additional flights to provide comfortable travel for Ukrainians during the holiday season.
In turn, the NBU approved the regulations for the operation of the electronic payment system (EPS) and the operating procedure of the banking system during the completion of 2024 and the beginning of 2025.
