Every fourth individual entrepreneur is on the verge of closure due to taxes. These are the results of the Opendatabot survey.
In Ukraine, a study was conducted on the state and plans of individual entrepreneurs in Ukraine. About 32 thousand entrepreneurs took part in the survey. 27% of respondents plan to close in the near future.
Most of these businesses stop operating due to a sharp increase in the tax burden. In December, for one open sole proprietorship, two entrepreneurs close. By comparison, a year ago the situation was completely opposite: for every four new entrepreneurs there was one closure.
27% or 8 thousand 621 entrepreneurs surveyed plan to close in the near future. 2 thousand 297 or 7% planned to close this year. Another 20% or 6 thousand 324 participants noted that they plan to stop operating next year.
More than half of those planning to close—62%—decided to close because of tax increases. Another 19% of entrepreneurs stop working due to business problems. It is worth noting that now, due to a large-scale attack by pro-Russian hackers on state registries, closing a business is either very difficult or impossible.
Most of the surveyed individual entrepreneurs work in retail (retail trade) – 24.6%, another 21% – in IT.
