There should be as many states in the world as possible interested in the success of the Hungarians, Viktor Orban said.
Hungary is making friends and partners around the world, including Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, because Hungarians can benefit from them. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said this in an interview with Magyar Nemzet, published on Tuesday, December 24.
According to him, the foreign policy of a healthy-minded country is friendship, and there should be as many countries in the world as possible interested in the success of the Hungarians.
“The new US President likes Hungary. The Chinese President visited two countries of the European Union – France and Hungary. Our friend is the President of Turkey, our fair partner is the President of Russia, our good friend is the Prime Minister of Israel ,” said Orban, adding, that “in the history of Hungarian diplomacy there is almost nothing like this.”
“How to spin these plates at the same time so that none of them fall and their conflicts with each other do not damage the relationship with us is difficult, but not impossible. The reason why we need to gather friends in the world is so that Hungarians, all Hungarians can benefit greatly from this,” he said.
In the same interview, Orban is convinced that the war between Russia and Ukraine will end in 2025: either through peace negotiations, or one of the warring parties will be destroyed.
Let’s remember that on December 11, Orban spoke on the phone with Putin for an hour. After these negotiations, he began promoting a “Christmas truce” in Ukraine. Kyiv accused Hungary of immoral speculation and called on it not to speculate.
