Kazan airport stopped operations after an attack by Ukrainian drones, Reuters reports citing the Russian Federal Airspace Agency. Russian state news agencies reported a drone attack on a residential complex in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, located 1,000 kilometers from the front line.
The head of the Center for Combating Disinformation (CDC) of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andrey Kovalenko, recalled that there is a gunpowder plant in Kazan, which is one of the key enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex, specializing in the production of explosives, rocket fuels and other components critical for Army of the Russian Federation, writes Radio Liberty.
There is a gunpowder factory in Kazan, which is important for the production of Iskander and Caliber, which kill Ukrainians. At the same time, Russian air defense sent unknown drones to houses in Kazan to protect this plant, which is part of the logistics of killing Ukrainian citizens, Kovalenko said.
