In the Odessa region, on the Odessa-Reni highway near the village of Mayaki, an accident occurred involving a regular bus. As a result, two people were injured, the regional department of the National Police reported on Saturday, December 21.
“Preliminarily, the police determined that a 60-year-old driver of a Hyundai car overtook a MAN bus driven by a 53-year-old man without ensuring that the traffic was safe, as a result of which he was hit by an oncoming Ford car driven by a 56-year-old man,” the message said.
It was found that the Ford was thrown into the oncoming lane, which led to a collision with the bus.
“As a result of the traffic accident, the driver of the Ford car and his 56-year-old passenger were injured and hospitalized, the other participants in the accident did not require medical assistance,” the police informed.
After examining the driver for intoxication and establishing the full circumstances of the incident, he will be given a legal qualification.
Earlier on Saturday, it became known about a fatal accident in the Vinnytsia region involving a car and a truck. In the city of Gaysin, three people died and four were injured.
