Russian Kazan in the Republic of Tatarstan was attacked by drones on Saturday, December 21.
This morning, two UAVs crashed into the 37-storey residential complex “Azure Skies”. They hit the upper floors of the house and exploded. The drone also hit a five-story residential building and an elite high-rise building in the Manhattan residential complex. This probably happened as a result of the operation of Russian electronic warfare systems. This was reported by Russian Telegram channels.
Local authorities have confirmed fires in buildings after a drone attack in the Sovetsky, Kirovsky and Privolzhsky districts. Authorities did not report any deaths or injuries. However, local public pages write about three people injured as a result of glass cuts.
Eight drone arrivals are reported. One hit an industrial enterprise, one was shot down over a river, and six more fell in residential areas. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the downing of one UAV.
The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council, Andrei Kovalenko, noted that in Kazan there is a gunpowder factory specializing in the production of explosives, rocket fuels and other components for the Russian army. This plant also supplies the materials necessary for the manufacture of missiles, including the Caliber and Iskander missiles.
Let us remind you that partisans staged sabotage at military facilities in the Russian Federation. The resistance movement burned fuel tankers of the Russian army on the territory of one of the military units in the Russian Novosibirsk.
