The acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexander Khinshtein, who was appointed by Putin, said that the Russian Federation will not pay for the damage to the residents of the region. The reason is a lack of funds in the federal budget of the Russian Federation. This was reported by The Moscow Times on Friday, December 20.
“The state won’t cover all the costs of the destroyed bathroom?” – Khinshtein said at a meeting with residents of the Sudzhansky district.
According to Khinshtein, the budget funds of the Russian Federation are allocated to the conduct of the war: “This is a high-tech war. Every shell costs money for us. It all comes out of the budget.”
From the beginning of August, Ukrainian troops began an active offensive against the Kursk region. Within a week, about 1,300 square kilometers of the territory of the Russian Federation and about 100 settlements were under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
