The SBU exposed another Moscow clergyman in Odessa.
The rector of the church of the Odessa diocese of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate praised the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and glorified the Russian occupiers.
Investigators found that during sermons and communication with believers, the archpriest tried to justify the war crimes of the invaders, including Russian shelling of peaceful cities and infrastructure.
Forensic linguistic examination has already confirmed the facts of the archpriest’s information and explosive activities in favor of Russia.
The cleric has already been informed of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – Part 1 of Art. 161 (violation of the equality of citizens depending on their race, nationality, regional affiliation, religious beliefs and other grounds) and Part 1 of Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants). He faces imprisonment.
Let us recall that on November 25, the Security Service of Ukraine detained the rector of one of the churches of the Kharkov diocese of the UOC-MP, who was leaking information about the Defense Forces in the region. The attacker tried to establish the approximate number of personnel and available weapons at Ukrainian checkpoints near Kharkov.
