It was mentioned that there were 326 people in train No. 11, traveling on the route Murmansk – St. Petersburg. Ten people were injured due to the accident.

The collision took place on the territory of the Knyazha station in the Kandalaksha region. As a result, three passenger train cars and freight cars were derailed. Traffic stopped in the area. Recovery trains were dispatched to remove the consequences of the derailment. The cause of the collision is being investigated.

We remind you that earlier two freight trains collided in Poland and the driver was injured. In the UK, there was also a collision between two trains. One person died, another 15 people were injured.
