Russian Tu-95MS bombers were spotted in the area of American Alaska.
Enemy aircraft were identified in the Alaska air defense zone on Tuesday, December 17. The bombers did not enter US or Canadian airspace. This was reported by the North American Aerospace Command.
The Americans took fighter jets into the air. The Russian “carcasses” remained in international airspace and did not enter American or Canadian sovereign airspace.
Such Russian activity in ADIZ in Alaska occurs regularly and is not considered a threat, the command noted.
At the same time, Russian propaganda stated that the Tu-95MS missile carriers were making a seemingly “scheduled flight” off Alaska.
As you know, it is the Tu-95MS bombers that are actively used by the aggressor country of the Russian Federation for large-scale missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine.
Let us recall that in the spring of this year, German Eurofighter fighters intercepted Russian aircraft for the first time near the territorial waters of Latvia.
And at the end of February, the Bundeswehr lifted a Eurofighter into the atmosphere to intercept a Russian Il-20M military aircraft that was spotted in the Finland area.
