At the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) summit in Tallinn, the country’s leaders agreed that their aid to Ukraine by 2025 will exceed 12 billion euros. This was stated in their joint statement, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
It was noted that at the summit agreement was concluded on additional measures to provide practical assistance to Ukraine and ensure additional and strong cooperation with the countries of the Joint Expeditionary Force in the future.
The JEF is a defense cooperation format led by the United Kingdom, which, in addition to Estonia, includes the Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Iceland. The idea of the JEF was to provide first aid before NATO’s Article 5 was declared. Crisis responses developed within the JEF complement NATO’s activities.
Earlier, the Swedish government announced the allocation of 63 million euros in financial aid to Ukraine.
