In the Action application, a new program has started working. Anyone who has turned 18 years old or will turn next will be able to receive 908 UAH on their card for the purchase of books published in Ukraine in the Ukrainian language.
To use the service, Head of Government Denis Shmigal advised selecting “Services – eBook” in the “Action” application. Next, you should open an account in one of the banks from the list. Then apply in installments.
The money can be spent within three months from the date of accrual in stores that have joined the program. If the money is not used, it will be returned to the account of the Ukrainian Book Institute.
Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov wrote that Ukrainians who turned 18 in 2024 or will turn in 2025 will receive 908 hryvnia in the Action for the purchase of paper, electronic and audio books in the Ukrainian language.
The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications initiated the service to support Ukrainian publishers and motivate young people to read Ukrainian. The program is planned for the next years, so if you turn 18 later, you can also go,” Fedorov wrote on his social networks.
The government will subsequently announce a list of bookstores.
