This new capability is part of the VVK reform developed by the Ministry of Defense together with partners.
Until the end of February, it is possible to receive an electronic referral to a military medical commission on the Reserve+ application. Deputy Minister of Defense Ekaterina Chernogorenko announced this on Thursday, December 5, during a telethon.
Thus, those liable for military service no longer need to accept referrals from territorial recruitment centers.
It was noted that this new opportunity is part of the military complex military reform, developed by the Ministry of Defense together with partners. In the first phase of this reform, those liable for military service may undergo a medical examination to determine suitability at any civilian medical institution of their choice. It will decentralize and digitize the procedure, making it more autonomous and anonymous, significantly reducing corruption risks.
“It will be possible to divide the entire military medical examination procedure into two stages: medical examination and administrative – something that will be carried out in the MOU system. Thus, it will be a decentralized, autonomous, digitalized, anonymous procedure that will be convenient for people and significantly reduce corruption risks,” summed up the Deputy Minister of Defense.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health said that the VVK will be reformed within six months in two phases.
