Georgian law enforcement officers carried out repressions against the protesters.
Thus, in Georgia, on December 4, security forces came to search the offices of opposition parties. In particular, the police raided the office of the coalition “For Change,” one of the headquarters of the United National Movement party, created by former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, and the office of the Droa party. This was reported by Echo of the Caucasus.
Security forces also raided the administrators of the Facebook group Daitove, which was created back in the spring, during protests in Georgia against the law on “foreign agents.”
According to media reports, the leader of the largest opposition party, Coalition for Change, Nick Gvamariy, has been detained. Footage of his harsh detention has already been published online.
The police also captured another member of the For Change coalition, Gel Hasai. A member of the opposition Lelo party reported that two members of the opposition coalition had been detained.
Let us remind you that large-scale rallies are taking place in Georgia. The reason is the suspension of relations with the EU in 2028, as well as the refusal of financial grants. Law enforcement officers harshly detain protesters and use special means against them.
