Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has approved Russia’s 2025 budget, which sees military spending rise to record levels.
The Associated Press reports this.
In the budget for next year, the Russian government has budgeted revenues of more than 40 trillion rubles (over $373 billion). Of this amount, about 32.5% is allocated to “defense,” which amounts to 13.5 trillion rubles (more than $145 billion).
Thus, the corresponding expenses increase compared to 2024, when the Russian Federation allocated 28.3% of the budget for defense.
Both chambers of the Russian parliament have previously approved this budget plan.
