Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved budget plans for 2025, increasing Russia’s military spending to a record level. The Associated Press reported this on Sunday, December 1.
Thus, about 32.5% of the national budget is allocated to the country’s defense, which amounts to more than $145 billion.
Let’s add that they plan to spend 13.49 trillion rubles on the military needs of the Russian Federation, which is almost four times higher than in pre-war 2021. Together with the costs for law enforcement agencies, the amount will reach at 40% of the federal budget.

At the same time, spending on social policy will be reduced by 16%, and funding for medicine and education will remain almost unchanged.
