In Tbilisi, protesters protesting against the authorities’ decision to abandon European integration used a machine gun of fireworks against the police.
The event happened last night. Bild reports this today, December 1.
It is noted that when dispersing the protesters who had gathered in front of the parliament building, security forces used water cannons and tear gas.
The protesters, for their part, fired back at the special forces with a homemade “machine gun” of fireworks, the publication notes.
In total, according to official data, 50 people were detained at the last rally; over all three days of protests, the number of detainees exceeded 200 people.
Another rally is scheduled to take place in Tbilisi today. Protesters are protesting against the decision to abandon European integration, which the Georgian authorities made on November 28.
