The Lvov Court of Appeal accepted the extension of the preventive measure for Ostap Stakhiv – this is detention until December 25 with the possibility of posting bail of 908 thousand hryvnia.
This was reported on November 28 by Public. Stakhiva is suspected of fraud and dissemination of information about the location of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On September 25, the SBU conducted a search in his house.
In 2022, in his videos, Stakhov said that the TCC “kidnaps and tortures people.” He argued that TCCs are not officially registered and supposedly there is a corresponding decision of the Supreme Court about this.
In 2023, Stakhov created a new NGO – “Association of Human Rights Defenders of Ukraine”.
He issued members of the organization with “international certificates of human rights defenders,” which had no legal force, but, according to the blogger, were supposed to “protect” them from the police, the TCC and other authorities.
In 2024, Stakhiv’s team actively traveled to villages “to free people from captivity of the TCC.”
Stakhov received suspicion under Part 2 of Article 114-2 (unauthorized dissemination of information about the deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, committed under martial law), as well as Part 1 and Part 2 of Article 190 (fraud).
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the SBU informed Stakhiv of suspicion of an attempt to overthrow the constitutional order in Ukraine. The investigation established that the anti-vaccine movement in Ukraine was organized by Russian intelligence services.
