Hezbollah launched more than 250 rockets and drones into Israel on November 24, injuring several people.
The Times of Israel writes that Hezbollah fired more than 250 rockets and drones into northern and central Israel in several salvos over the previous day, according to military and medical officials.
In northern Israel, a 60-year-old man was wounded in the abdomen by shrapnel while working in a field in the Kfar Blum area and is now in hospital.
In Haifa, two men in their fifties suffered minor shrapnel wounds during rocket attacks, and another suffered an acute stress reaction. The shelling also damaged a residence in the area.
Earlier on Sunday around 7.30am, a woman in her 50s was wounded by shrapnel when rocket attacks hit the Western Galilee.
The missile strike also damaged a factory in the northern town of Ma’alot Tarshiha.
The IDF said about 30 rockets and drones were fired during the morning attack, some of which were intercepted by air defenses.
The IDF later said that six missiles were fired from Lebanon towards the center of the country, five of which were intercepted by air defenses. The sixth rocket fell in an open area.
At approximately 13:00, a second salvo of eight rockets was fired into central Israel, one of which landed in the city of Petah Tikva and the other in the agricultural community of Rinatiya.
In the evening, central Israel again became the target of fire: several rockets were fired, some of them were intercepted, others fell in open areas.
Most of the other missiles fired into the center of the country were intercepted. The impact of the Hezbollah attack is being determined.
Transaction prospects
Meanwhile, the media write that a ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Lebanese Hezbollah is “very close.”
CNN reported that the agreement is “closer than ever” but is not yet fully formed. American and Israeli officials warned that mediators had not yet received the green light.
We are moving in this direction, but there are still some issues that need to be resolved, a spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview with CNN.
In recent days, Hezbollah has been considering a US-Israeli proposal for a 60-day pause in fighting, which some hope could lay the groundwork for a lasting ceasefire.
U.S. Ambassador Amos Hochstein held talks with regional officials this week in an attempt to reach an agreement. On Sunday, CNN analyst and Axios reporter Barak Ravid, citing a source, reported that Hochstein told the Israeli ambassador in Washington on Saturday that if Israel does not respond affirmatively to the ceasefire proposal in the coming days, it will withdraw from mediation efforts.
