Prague declared that they will not stop there and will continue to provide the necessary support to Ukraine.
The Czech Republic will transfer 500,000 large caliber rounds of ammunition to Ukraine in the coming weeks as part of an initiative to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky announced this on Friday, November 22, at a joint briefing with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrei Sibiga in Kyiv.
According to him, the ammunition will arrive in Ukraine by the end of 2024.
Lipavsky stressed that the Czech Republic will not stop there and will continue to provide the necessary support to Ukraine, especially in the context of Ukraine’s efforts to join the EU and NATO. The minister also focused on the importance for Ukraine to have reliable protection.
Let’s recall that Lipavsky said that the Czech Republic does not impose any restrictions on Ukraine’s use of its military equipment.
It was also reported that the Czech Republic will buy ammunition for Ukraine using funds from the frozen assets of the Russian Federation.
