Paris emphasized that in this situation there is only one aggressor – Russia, and only one victim – Ukraine.
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Russia’s missile attack on the Dnieper using the Oreshnik ballistic missile and said threats to the West were unacceptable. Le Monde reported this on Friday, November 22.
The spokesman of the Foreign Ministry, in a conversation with journalists, emphasized that the threats of the Kremlin leader Putin against European countries and NATO member states are unacceptable. According to him, this only confirms Russia’s escalatory position.
“On Tuesday there will be a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council, where members of the Alliance will be able to raise this issue. In this situation, there is only one aggressor – Russia, and only one victim – Ukraine.”
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said Russia’s use of an experimental ballistic missile was a “terrible escalation of war.”
As we already wrote, on November 21, the Russians launched a missile attack on the city of Dnepr. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin later said the strike was allegedly carried out by the latest Oreshnik medium-range hypersonic missile.
