The Central Election Commission of Georgia officially declared the victory of the Georgian Dream in the parliamentary elections.

Before the results were announced, there was a clash at the Central Election Commission. Opposition representative David Kirtadze doused the head of the commission, Giorgi Kalandarishvili, with black paint. The police began an investigation into Kirtadze.
He called the head of the Central Election Commission a “black spot.”
People also staged a protest near the Central Election Commission building; the police recorded the actions of the protesters in photos and videos.
At a meeting of the Central Election Commission of Georgia, Secretary Giorgi Javakhishvili presented the protocol data to the CEC members:

“Georgian Dream” – 53.93% (89 mandates);

Coalition “For Change” – 11.03% (19 mandates);

“Unity – National Movement” – 10.17% (16 mandates);

Coalition “Strong Georgia” – 8.81% (14 mandates);

“For Georgia” Giorgi Gakharia – 7.78% (12 mandates).
The new parliament must meet no later than 10 days after the official results are published. After which deputies will have to approve the new government.
