In Odessa, as a result of Russian shelling on November 14, the paleontological museum of the Odessa National University named after Mechnikov, the building of the Faculty of Chemistry and a dormitory were damaged.
This was reported by the Ukrinform agency with reference to the rector of the university Vyacheslav Truba.
According to him, in the paleontological museum located in the main building of the university, as a result of the shelling:
- Windows and glass shelving were damaged by the shock wave.
- the exhibition itself was not damaged, only the lampshade fell on one exhibit;
- Workers are now removing glass from the exhibits.
Today we are resolving the issue with glass, because film will not save exhibits from rain and frost,” he noted.
Besides:
- the blast wave knocked out the windows in the Big Chemical and Big Physical Auditoriums of the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy of ONU;
- Hostel No. 2, located on Novoselsky Street, was also damaged. No staff or students were injured.
