The preparation of the attack is engaged with the 17-year-old student of the local vocational school and his equivalent of the enemy.
The Security Service and the National Police were confined “in the hot pursuit” of two Russian agents who on August 5 have developed a terrorist attack on Zhitomir. This was reported by the SBU press service on Thursday, August 7.
We talk about undermining a home -Made Explosive Device (IEA) on one of the regional center microdistricts. As a result of the incident, one man died, another – hospitalized in serious conditions.
The investigation found that the 17-year-old student of the local trade union and his peers, encouraged by the enemy, were engaged in the preparation of the attack. Both Russians noticed when, through telegram channels, they were looking for easy income.
After the recruitment, minors received instructions from the curator from Russia, according to which they made an IEA from the improvised way. For conspiracy, agents buy ingredients for explosives in various stores and in local markets.
For maximum defeat, they filled explosives with nuts, and for the remote scope they equipped with a mobile phone with a distant access to Russian special services.
The defendants then laid out the explosives on the coordinates, which were also received in the messenger from the curator. At the site of the planned terrorist attack, agents kept the phone camera where the Russians tracked the arrival of the victims for the location and activated the IEA.
SBU investigators revealed the defendants about the suspicion. A court petition was filed to select a prevention proposal in the form of restraint. The attacks are faced with a lifelong opinion of confiscation of ownership.
Note that on the night of August 5, an explosion occurred in Zhitomir, as a result of which one person died and another was hospitalized for injuries.
