Analogues of the Chinese Mavic drones were developed by Ukrainian manufacturers.
Eight manufacturers gathered last weekend to unveil their drones. Two of them have already been codified. These are the Shmovik UAV and PTAKH-S. Six teams completed flight missions: a 10 km flight at an altitude of over 250 m and a target search. The press service of the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine reported this on November 11.
The work of the drones was demonstrated to representatives of the General Staff, the command of the Unmanned Systems Forces and the Logistics Forces, government purchasers and military units. The military was able not only to evaluate the quality of the products, but also talked with manufacturers about the characteristics, features and production capabilities.
First of all, I thank the Ukrainian manufacturing teams who were able to create such a product in Ukraine. Inexpensive, functional, easy to manage. And most importantly, it is created within the country, which, firstly, makes us more independent from foreign supplies, and secondly, leaves money in the country,” said Germant Smetanin, head of the Ministry of Strategic Industry.
Let us recall that in June, Ukroboronprom stated that Ukraine, in a fairly short period of time, had developed and launched into mass production its own long-range attack drones. They can hit enemy strategic targets at a distance of more than 1 thousand km.
