The alternative ending of the series that many are unaware of

Disney Channel’s hit series, Hannah Montana came to an end in 2011, however, many are unaware of the alternative ending

After four seasons, the series “Hannah Montana” ended its journey in January 2011 with a final episode marked by intense emotions.

In the end, inseparable friends Miley Stewart, played by Miley Cyrus, and Lily Truscott, played by Emily Osment, follow different paths. Miley leaves for Paris, while Lily begins her university life.

However, the plot holds a surprise: in the final scene, Miley unexpectedly reappears next to Lily, revealing that she decided to study with her best friend. So, she leaves the glamor of Hollywood to focus on her studies.

However, an alternative ending present on the last season’s DVD suggests that the series’ ending could have been quite different.

The alternative scene proposes a 12-year return in time, where it is possible to observe a young Miley dreaming of following in her father’s footsteps and become a rock star. This hypothetical sequence will also include the presence of Tish Cyrus, Miley’s real-life mother and wife of Billy Ray Cyrus.

With this unofficial ending, the story of the series would have taken place only in the head of Miley as a child, who imagined the existence of an alter-ego aiming for an ordinary teenage life.

The story

Launched in 2006, “Hannah Montana” is one of Disney Channel’s most successful series. Coming to the channel in its “Golden Era”, as it is considered by fans, the production that tells the double life of teenager Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) lasted four seasons, and ended on January 16, 2011.

Despite being successful all over the world, one of the actresses from the renowned series revealed in 2021 that, curiously, she never got to watch the program she starred in. The artist in question is Emily Osmentresponsible for playing Lilly Truscott, Miley’s best friend.

Emily revealed the information during an interview with the Chicks in the Office podcast (via POPLine) to promote the series “Pretty Smart”, when he ended up remembering his time as a Disney Channel star, and stated that he had only watched one episode of the series.
