New series reveals Max Russo’s fate

“Wizards Beyond Waverly Place”, derived from the series “Wizards of Waverly Place”, brought back the characters Justin and Alex Russo after a 12-year hiatus, however, it left out the youngest of the family, Max Russo.

When the series was announced in January, Henrie, now 35, reassured fans on Instagram after David DeLuise, who played patriarch Jerry Russo, expressed surprise about the project in a comment on the social network.

Henrie quickly dispelled concerns by commenting: “We definitely plan to bring the original cast to the series.”

DeLuise returned as Jerry in the series, but Max (Austin) and matriarch Theresa (Maria Canals-Barrera) have yet to appear.

Plot

This time, the production will focus on Justin, the Russos’ eldest son. The revival will follow the character played by the actor David Henrie starting an ordinary life with his wife and children after giving up his powers, after a mysterious accident happened at WizTech.
