The head of state met with his French counterpart after he discussed the situation in Ukraine with Trump.
President Vladimir Zelensky on Thursday, November 7, at the summit of the European Political Community in Budapest, met with French leader Emmanuel Macron, the press service of the Presidential Office reported.
One of the topics of the meeting was military assistance, in particular, training of the Ukrainian Anna Kyiv brigade, strengthening of long-term capabilities.
Zelensky also thanked Macron for supporting Ukraine’s “victory plan” and for France’s involvement in Ramstein.
Among the main topics of the negotiations was the support for Ukraine towards NATO. Zelensky noted that it is important to give Ukraine an invitation to join the Alliance – this is precisely the first point of the Victory Plan.
Let’s remember that the day before Macron spoke on the phone with Donald Trump against the backdrop of his victory in the US presidential election. They talked, in particular, about the war in Ukraine.
Also on Thursday, Zelensky discussed with the Secretary General of NATO the participation of North Korean soldiers in the war. Call on the West for a more decisive response.
