Due to the increased protection of Ukrenergo facilities, the Russians are targeting the distribution networks responsible for energy supply in the regions.

Russia’s attacks on the energy infrastructure now include not only the main lines, but also the distribution networks of oblenergos, said the acting leader. Head of Ukrenergo Alexey Brecht. Interfax-Ukraine reported this on Thursday, November 7.

According to him, due to the strengthening of the protection of Ukrenergo facilities and the quick response of the team to restore the networks, the enemy began to target the distribution networks responsible for the energy supply in the regions.

Despite this, oblenergo repair crews are working to quickly restore the power supply.

Brecht also said that the Ukrainian energy system has been operating without restrictions for consumers for 52 days, and that the internal generation capacity is now sufficient to meet the country’s needs.

We remind you that as a result of the Russian attack, the energy infrastructure in the Zhytomyr region has been damaged with emergency outages in several places.

Also, Russian troops attacked Shostka, Sumy region, with eight drones, destroying infrastructure facilities.
